We were almost begging the landlord for mercy, because we really ran out of money, but the landlord was very fierce and there was nothing we could do. We could only ask the landlord to give us a few days, and we went out to borrow money from classmates and friends.

My friend borrowed the money, and there were three or four hundred left after the bill was paid off. Then we discussed how to start a barbecue. Neither of them knows how to find someone to teach it. It was not realistic at all. In those days, I didn't even know where to get a master, let alone find a master to teach, because at that time there was no concept of internet.

The result of the discussion is to bite the bullet and go dry.

We spent several nights wandering around the barbecue in the nearby night market, observing other people's barbecue varieties and skewers, and paying attention to their barbecue methods.

We went to the market to buy some ingredients, bought some spices randomly, and came back to exercise. After exercising for several days, I felt so-so and started to go out of the market.

I don’t have much impression on the first night of the stall. The only thing that is deep is that when I pushed the car out for the first time, I didn’t dare to lift my head. I bowed my head all the way, afraid of seeing acquaintances. Going out, after a few nights like this, my skin became thicker, and I slowly dared to face others.

But for business, I don't need to say it, but I can imagine it!

At that time, the model was that friends were responsible for grilling ingredients and roasting, that is, technical aspects, while I was responsible for layoffs, sanitation, cleaning tables, and moving stools... I didn't touch the technical aspects because I thought my friends could handle it. But having said that, every day there are complaints from customers about the bad taste, bad baking, etc.

It's been like this for more than a year. Most of the reasons for this are due to the support of acquaintances and friends, otherwise it would have been impossible to continue.

Later, for various reasons, my friend quit, and when he quit, he quarreled with each other and was not very kind.

Because he apologized a few years later, he didn't want to say whether this matter was right or wrong. In short, when he quit, I didn't know how to grill at all. I had never grilled anything on the stove, nor had I processed the ingredients once, nor had I mixed or marinated anything. Half of the reason for this is because I don't want to do this kind of rough work, and I think he can do it anyway, and the other half is because he is deliberately hiding from me and avoiding me, not letting me know his barbecue methods.

Maybe because from the beginning, he felt that his responsibility was harder than me, but I shared the money equally with him, so over time, he would not be happy!

In short, separated.

I can’t retreat. I don’t want to go on. I don’t know what to do. At that time, I had to be familiar with entering the factory, and I had to get acquaintance introduction. I resigned from the factory and haven’t joined it for so long. I don't know where to find a job.

Therefore, I can only bite the bullet and go on.

I asked my brother’s girlfriend to help me. My brother was a gambler at the time and couldn’t count on it. Then I tried my best to find ways to make the barbecue taste good from various channels. I ran all the large condiment markets more than ten kilometers nearby, and asked the boss which condiments the barbecue restaurant uses, but the boss recommended a lot of nothing. I didn’t understand the actual meaning of chemical flavor additives or something. I didn’t understand it at that time. Although it was too expensive, I still bought it and bought it back for the same experiment. The good ones should be kept, and the bad ones should be thrown away. The wasted money should be good. A few thousand. The thousands at that time are now at least five figures.

What I will never forget in my life was that the other barbecue stalls next to them were overcrowded at that time. There weren't any vacancies, even standing there, and there was no one here.

And what frustrated me the most was that the northern driver of the freight station who usually ate next door called me to the table, showed me the chicken feet on the plate, and said cursingly: "You are also called barbecue. A few things, no wonder there is no business!" After speaking, he threw the chicken feet down and stepped on it. It's not an exaggeration. I really stepped on a foot. I didn't dare to say a word, but my sister-in-law apologized and said something nice.
At that time, I really wanted to give up, and it was useless to hate myself for incompetence.

By the way, here’s one thing to add. After my friend and I officially started barbecues, we learned that when we consulted the Northeast couple, we came to ask that the pretty boy who transferred was actually the Zhujiang beer salesperson. The Northeast couple asked him to do it. Thank you, and my friends and I were honestly fooled. After I later discovered that he was a Zhujiang Beer salesperson, I scolded him with anger, "I will never sell your Zhujiang Beer!"

However, I still sold Zhujiang Beer later, but at that time the local salesperson of Zhujiang Beer had changed.

This pretty boy is as stupid as us. After the Northeast couple's stalls have turned around, they will no longer deal with you, but you help him deceive the next customer who will help you sell alcohol. This IQ is no different from the fact that we were fooled!

When people are in desperate situations, they can usually work harder. Even though there was no concept of internet at that time, my behavior of digging my heart out to find barbecue methods gradually paid off. My roasting work began to stabilize, and my taste began to gain recognition from others.
